There is a room for disabled guests on the first floor of our Hotel, which is accessible with wheelchair and equipped with shower and handrails, moreover it also has a special toilet. The service and community spaces of the House are available with self-propelled wheelchair or assistance, accessibility is facilitated by elevators and accessible routes.

We prepare the bathrobes in the shelf closet of the rooms for the comfortable use of the wellness area and pools. In case a different size is needed, contact our reception. Used bathrobes can be replaced for a fee of 1,000 ft/bathrobe/replacement, which amount will be charged to the room. When checking out, please leave the bathrobes in the room.

All bed linen are changed every 3 nights, but daily change is possible on request - please contact our reception.

The farm has been functioned as a background economy of Hotel Captain Wellness since 2005, which is located 2 km from the Castle of Sümeg. Our guests are happy to consume the products from the farm (peasant sausages, spicy and delicacy salami, smoked ham, deer sausages, greaves), because in addition to the physical and spiritual refreshment, the person who comes to us desires gastronomic experiences. Buy as a gift for your loved ones from the premium products offered at breakfast, this gives you the opportunity to sneak a mouthful of Sümeg into your own home.

If you are looking for traditional Hungarian flavours, stop at Castle Inn right next to the Hotel, where you can taste a variety of local dishes and Hungarian wine, enjoying culinary pleasures in the shadow of walnut trees in the summer and in the warmth of a brick stove in the winter. Check in is available from 15:00, please vacate your room by 11:00 on the day of your check out. Please enquire at the reception about the possibility and price of early check-in or extension. Paying your hotel bill is possible in the morning of your departure or the preceding night, to avoid the line because of the waiting.

Our well-equipped, variably sized interconnecting conference halls offer exclusive location for conferences, training events, workshops and private events. Our exclusive ballroom with a panoramic view of the Sümeg Castle and with natural light accommodates up to 600 guests. Hotel rooms are cleaned daily during guest stay. If you would like to rest and not be disturbed by daily cleaning, please use the "Do Not Disturb" sign.

We will send a welcome message before your arrival which contains the link of express check- in application. You can give your details which are required for the hotel check-in, we are making it easier to resort the accommodation by this, so we will only ask for data verification on the site. In case, you don’t grab the opportunity, it is possible to fulfil this reporting obligation by completing a paper notification form at the reception.

Electric current is 220V - please place your room card in the card slot next to the door to activate power supply in the room. Free socket are provided in the room, furthermore, direct next to the bed.

The invoice issued from the hotel front office will immediately land in the guest’s email mailbox, as a new environmentally friendly solution. There is still a possibility to take over the traditional printed version in addition to the electronic transmission.

Please, study carefully the map of emergency exits posted on your door. The shortest way to the emergency exits is indicated by green illuminated signs in the corridor. In case fire is detected, please call the reception: dial extension 500. Each floor is equipped with clearly marked fire-fighting equipment. Do not use the lifts. Use the fire escape to the ground floor from there you can get to the street.

Our guests can use it free of charge from 7:00 to 18:00 daily. The fitness room is located on the ground floor, at the entrance of our Wellness & Beauty parlour. There are available cardio,- and strengthening machines, furthermore, dumbbells. Everybody uses the equipment only at their own risk.

It is located on the ground floor of the hotel, where we can find well-assorted medieval gifts and ornaments, books, jewellery, premium drinks and several toys are waiting for the customers. Receptionist colleagues are cordially available in connection with opening hours and salesmanship.

Sümeg Historic Tournaments, well-known in Hungary and throughout Europe, take place at the Historical Event Hall in the Medieval Theme Park. The guests of our Hotel can visit as a gift from the Castle’s Captain, they can take part on the country’s finest equestrian program without any cost. The Stable at the Kisfaludy Garden, as well as programme- and race-horses of the Castle's Captain can be visited free of charge daily.

Key-cards are required for the guest room door, for power supply, and for the underground garage (if applicable) from check-in until11:00 on the day of check-out. Please, always have your key-card with you inside the hotel, as a proof of being our hotel's guest. When leaving the hotel, all key-cards must be left at the reception, or a fee of 1,000 ft/card will be charged.

Please place your garments intended for laundry service in the laundry bag, and leave it at the reception. Laundry will be done within 12 hours, if received before 9:00 a.m. You can get information about the price list, which is located in the room.

We provide safe-keeping and storage opportunity on our arriving and travelling guests’s behalf in the luggage room next to the reception. Please ask at the reception.

If anything is lost during your stay at the Hotel or you find something, please contact our reception. We will inventory this things and keep for a year. Within this period of time, we can post as a cash on delivery parcel according to the applicable tariff rules.

The lounge is located on the ground floor of the Hotel, is open from 11:00 to 23:00 daily, offering a variety of sandwiches, cakes, coffee, tea, wine, and cocktail specialities. At the weekends it also offers our guests the festive atmosphere of music and dance evenings.

Our special service, which is closely related to the programme of the Historic Tournaments, is the Medieval Feast at the Grand Knight's Hall of the Castle's Captain (at times held at the Castle Inn). Feast menu: Hungarian pálinka as aperitif, medieval yellow pea cream soup, traditional oven-baked goose drumstick (chicken for children), whole roast potatoes, coleslaw, fruit pie, and unlimited soda, white- and red wine consumption during dinner. Guests dine using their bare hands according to medieval traditions. Meals are served by waiters and waitresses dressed in medieval costumes as Knights and Ladies; music by a gypsy band throughout the feast. Our hotel guests can take part on Medieval feast for an additional fee, instead of the half-board diner that day. For more information about the program and application please contact our reception.

Minibar is included in all rooms with a price list. During daily cleaning the minibar is checked and accordingly, we can charge the price for your room bill. At check-out please indicate last day's consumption at the reception.

A Chariot and Carriage Exhibition unique in Hungary as well as an International Collection of Sabres are on exhibition in the Kisfaludy Castle Garden, which is free to view for our hotel guests with showing the room card. For information about open hours please contact the Hotel's reception.

Our guests can park in the free parking lot in front of the hotel, or rather our underground garage is available for a fee. The hotel welcomes only housebroken dog and cat with a small book of health, for an additional fee and in non-carpeted rooms which is dedicated to them, without supplies and other equipment, in addition, to the rules laid down on the hotel’s official website www.hotelkapitany.hu. On the ground floor of our Hotel, next to our Wellness & Beauty parlour there is a playroom for children, called Várovi (Castle Care). Children can pretend here to be real Princesses or Knights with the help of the gorgeous scenery. Castle care is open from 8.00 to 20.00 daily, it can only be visited with parental supervision and can be used at your own risk. During high season (weekends, summer and public holidays) we offer organized activities for our youngest guests.

Buffet breakfast and dinner is offered to our guests at the Museum Restaurant, while at our King Saint László Restaurant a'la carte menu is available for our guests, from7:00 to 22:00 daily. Traditional and international dishes, a variety of reform and gourmet dishes, ancient traditional and contemporary healthy gourmet cuisine can be enjoyed in medieval scenery, as well as specialities of international cuisine are available, and we also offer a variety of quality Hungarian and international drinks.

If you wish to use room service for breakfast, please notify reception no later than 20:00 the evening before by leaving your breakfast card. The service is available for a fee. It is possible to dine in the hotel room during the day - orders can be made from the Room Service Menu dialling 505. In compliance with the amendment of Act XLII of 1999 on the protection of non-smokers, effective from 1 April 2012, smoking in enclosed spaces is strictly prohibited. Please restrict from smoking in hotel rooms as well as on the adjoining terraces. Designated smoking areas are outside, 5 metres from the entrance of the Hotel and at the restaurant terrace.

Please note that all hotel rooms are equipped with smoke detectors, which signal the reception in case smoke is detected. If the alarm goes off due to tobacco smoke, an extra 10,000 HUF cost is charged to that room.

We can provide children’s menu, lactose-free-, gluten-free-, vegetarian and dietetic food for your request in the course of half board and a’la carte meals, at the Museum Restaurant, at Knight’s Palace of St. Laszlo, and the Castle Inn.

Towels left hanging mean: "Don't change them yet, please'. Wellness towels are supplied in your room on arrival, which can be used in the wellness area.

If required, our reception provides assistance in organizing transfer to Sümeg Castle, to the city of Sümeg, or even to the countryside. The service is available for a fee.
